How to take
lessons

Ikoma City,
where CookAid Nara is located,

After the morning lesson,
we recommend going to a sightseeing spot
where you can experience
the history and culture of Nara.

the day before

1.Book Now

Please make a reservation from the lesson page after agreeing to the Terms of Use.

2.Payment

After booking, please pay by the specified payment method on the payment page.
Your reservation will be considered complete upon completion of the payment.

*Please note that we do not accept on-site payment.

3.Preparation

We will provide all the necessary materials and utensils for the experience.
Please wear clothes that are comfortable for cooking on the day of the tour.

*If you have any allergies or food intolerances, please let us know at least 3 days prior to the lesson.

On the day of the lesson

1.Go to the class from Kintetsu Ikoma Station

It is about a 6 minute walk from Ikoma Station to the classroom.
We will notify you of the classroom address by email the day before the lesson. Please come directly to the classroom.

It takes 20 min. from Osaka Namba Station to Ikoma Station.

2.Arrive at the Cook Aid Nara

The classroom is located in a residential area.
Enjoy the atmosphere of a typical Japanese residential area.

3.Lesson begins

We will explain the cooking steps in detail, so even those with little cooking experience can participate with confidence. There is no need to bring any tools or materials. We recommend that you come dressed in clothes that are comfortable for cooking.

4.Tasting time in a Japanese-style room

You can enjoy the dishes you have prepared in a Japanese-style room. The table in the Japanese-style room is a hori-zataku, so those who are not accustomed to sitting on the floor can enjoy their meals with ease.

Nara Park

It takes about 20 minutes to arrive at Nara Park from Ikoma Station.
Along with shrines and temples such as Kasuga Taisha, Kofukuji, and Todaiji, Nara Park is a tourist spot that represents Nara where you can feel the beautiful nature.

Hozan-ji Temple & Ikoma Sanjo Amusement Park

Hozanji Temple was built about 300 years ago, and the retro atmosphere of its gate town is also popular.
Ikoma Sanjo Amusement Park* is famous for its "flying tower," said to be the oldest existing large playground equipment in Japan, and because it is located near the top of the mountain, visitors can enjoy a wonderful 360-degree view.

Takayama area

A tea whisk (chasen) is an essential tool for the tea ceremony. The Takayama area of Ikoma City accounts for approximately 90% of the national production of chasen. The Takayama area is also connected to the person who invented the chasen, and is a great spot to learn about the Japanese tea ceremony.
